![]() Hello and welcome to the Sophistigames Valentine’s day Youtube video contest!
Want to win a board game for your Valentine?
Follow these simple instructions to enter this gamerlicious contest:
1. Grab a camera 2. Start filming 3. Say: “This is an entry for the Sophistigames Dot Com Valentines Day board game contest, and I’m going to review (insert your chosen game name) 4. Briefly review your favourite board game. One minute is the minimum acceptable video time, but we suggest making it a bit longer if you really want to win! (up to 5 minutes maximum) 5. Upload your video to Youtube. Include Sophistigames and/or Board Games in the title and tags. 6. Reply to this thread with a link to your Youtube video (you must be logged in to Sophistigames so we know who you are and can contact you).
That’s it you’re done!
Feel free to add your video review to Sophistigames too if you like, but remember:
Whichever video gets the highest number of views on Youtube is the winner!
Tips: - The sooner you enter the longer your video will have to accumulate views. - Pick a popular game because more people will be searching for it on Youtube - Write your Title, tags and description carefully using keywords like Sophistigames, board games, ‘name of your game’. - Perhaps your Valentine would enjoy taking on a starring role in your video – why not make it together?
The Prize: Sophistigames will buy a board game of your choice (including shipping) up to a budget of $50 (USD). It could be from eBay, Amazon or any online board gaming store. The choice is yours!
Closing date for entries is 12 noon (GMT) on 15th February - the day after Valentines day. The winner will be announced and contacted on 20th February, to give the later entries a chance to accumulate views.
Good luck! |

thanks for having this contest. i'll try to do a review if i can this weekend. it'll be my very first one, so i don't know how good it'll turn out. :)

Any chance the deadline could be extended. I don't have access to a camera at the moment, but I wouldn't have any trouble filming a short five minutes about a game. |
|
I'll have a video posted shortly. Just waiting for the little one to go to bed so I can do it in peace. :) |
|
The upload took longer than I expected, but here it is: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aylRICpODz4
If that doesn't work, feel free to copy and paste: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aylRICpODz4 |

- To the anonymous poster, sorry but we can't change the rules. However, If the idea of making Youtube video reviews for Sophistigames interests you, we can arrange something where you are either financially compensated or have access to lots of games. Message me :) Matt |
